St. Jørgenshus and the Leprosy Museum, Bergen

St. Jørgenshus (or St. George’s house) was the hospital for people with leprosy i Bergen from the 16th century. The buildings that are there today is from the early 18th century, after a fire destroyed the buildings. St. George (St. Jørgen in Norwegian) was the patron saint for those with leprosy, and in many cities there were hospitals, and usually a hospital church, named after the him. Unfortunately the Leprosy Museum was closed when I stopped by, but I took some photos of the exterior.
