Purple and lovely

Took some shots the other day of the campanula flowers on my veranda. They are pretty aren´t they?

I also edited the first shot in another way with changing the saturation and the temperature. What do you think? Do you have a favorite?

    1. Thanks so much! and thanks for sharing your thoughts. I guess your right, the natural color is wonderful. I just wanted to test out something different. 🙂

  1. I too like the close-up. But…
I used to rabidly object to post-capture manipulation. In my view, if it wasn’t done in-camera, then you were cheating.
    I changed my mind.
I came to the view that manipulating the image afterwards became “art” as opposed to merely capturing the scene. Painters don’t always reproduce a scene – they represent it, or evoke a feeling or mood by manipulating the image. I like what you did in the final image. it’s not a faithful representation of what was in front of you… but it’s sensuous, warm and rich. I enjoy it for different reasons than the original.

    1. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts about this and for liking my shots. I usually also like it natural shots the most, but sometimes it´s fun to play around in photoshop and see what possibilities there are (and there is so much I don´t know about photoshop that I should know). 🙂
