89/366 The lady in the corner

There isΒ  small shopping center close to home and I went there today trying to do some street shots. I only brought my phone as it isn’t as easy to do candid shots with a big camera in a small place. I noticed this old lady in the corner after several attempts and I liked the way it turned out. Hope you like it too.

  1. Thanks for commenting and being honest. πŸ™‚ Constructive criticism is important for improving. The frame is included in the Retro camera app that I use with my Android phone, but I guess you’re right – it takes something away. The app has different camera settings with different frames, so maybe I should try another one next time πŸ™‚

  2. Great shot Inga, love the way you captured the lady busy with her groceries or looking for her wallet or something. Have to agree with previous comment about the frame though… I know these apps… I do have them on my iPhone as welll, don’t use them that much πŸ™‚
The black and white is an excellent choice in this one, maybe a simple black or grey frame would more emphasize the effect I think…

    1. Thanks, Joanna. I’m glad you like the scene. And thanks for commenting about the frame. I usually just use the phone app for posting pics on facebook as a comment to things I see and stuff, but sometimes a phone is more handy and easy than the dslr. I see what you both mean about the frame though, so I think I will use another setting next time πŸ™‚

      1. I know about taking the dslr… I have my compact-camera always in my bag, and my dslr I will leave at home, unless I am going out just to take photos… and my phone always is quite nearby, so sometimes we just switch to the camera which is closest… I understand completely. I have to admit I haven’t used my iPhone yet for my blog but no doubt there will be a moment this year I will… πŸ˜€
And I just come up with the idea we can connect on FB as well… how clever haha. I will search for you…

  3. I agree about the frame πŸ™‚ but the iphone is a great solution for people shots. I also feel awkward photographing people with a DSLR & have noticed I take far less people shots now that I don’t have my little point & shoot.
