Sunny day in beautiful Romsdal

On Monday we took a day trip to my in laws to pick up my oldest son who had visited his grandparents for a few days. The weather was fantastic, and as I’m sure some of my followers no by now, their farm is situated in a very beautiful area. Here is an Instagram shot from the farm looking towards the old “grandpa house”.

A wonderful trip in the woods

We´ve had the most fantastic weather this weekend. A long weekend that started with celebrating the Constitution Day and even had the day off today as it was the 2nd day of Pentecost. I went on long trips in the woods both Saturday and Sunday, and here are a few of the shots I took during my trips.

More signs of spring

The snow is finally starting to disappear and the sun has been warming for a few days now. The next days it´s supposed to rain, but right not rain is so much better than snow.

Here are a few more early signs of spring. These shots were taken during the weekend. It feels quite weird to call mid-April early spring, but hey this is Norway for you. ;-)

I guess the next one needs explanation for you to understand that this is a spring sign. It is my son studying a spider that has woken up in the spring sun.

Some old spring photos

While I wait for spring to arrive with its photo opportunities, I decided to share a few old spring photos with you all. These are shots that I have previously publised on my Flickr account. (I think I mentioned before that I’m not very active on Flickr these days, as blogging is much more fun ;-) )

A wonderful weekend

I just had the most wonderful weekend enjoying as much time as possible outside in the fantastic weather.  We’ve been out skiing both days. And since a big camera is not the easiest thing to bring while skiing (and teaching my son to ski), I have had to do with the phone.  So here are some Instagram shots from the last two days, and one from the tram stop the late morning before the weekend.

A foggy day at the cemetery – some years ago

I’m afraid there will not be much time for photography this week, so I thought I’d share with you some photos I took some years ago. It was a foggy winter day, and I went to the cemetery to capture the foggy mood. These photos are all from my Flickr photostream (not very active at Flickr these days, WordPress takes up all my time … ;-) ). I am posting them as they looked like when I first posted them to Flickr, I have not re-edited them. Enjoy :)

Stormy weather

Yesterday we had the worst weather. It had been windy for a few days and with temperatures above zero, the snow was melting. For some that would be a good thing, but even though it´s March now, I would like to skiing a bit more before spring. And spring never arrives in March where I live anyways, not properly.

So yesterday we had very strong wind, with the strength of a storm every now and then. It was stormy throughout the day, and with snow and rain. Definitely a day to stay indoors. Actually the police adviced people to secure their belongings outside and otherwise stay at home.

Here are a few shots taken through the windows yesterday.

With all these grey photos, I just wanted to brighten up my day, and this post, with a purple drop… :)
