A wonderful trip in the woods

We´ve had the most fantastic weather this weekend. A long weekend that started with celebrating the Constitution Day and even had the day off today as it was the 2nd day of Pentecost. I went on long trips in the woods both Saturday and Sunday, and here are a few of the shots I took during my trips.

More signs of spring

The snow is finally starting to disappear and the sun has been warming for a few days now. The next days it´s supposed to rain, but right not rain is so much better than snow.

Here are a few more early signs of spring. These shots were taken during the weekend. It feels quite weird to call mid-April early spring, but hey this is Norway for you. ;-)

I guess the next one needs explanation for you to understand that this is a spring sign. It is my son studying a spider that has woken up in the spring sun.

Small signs of spring

As I write the title of this post, it´s once more snowing outside.. As my followers already know, I love snow. But I also love the changing of the seasons. Snow in April is not uncommon, but still I´m now tired of snow and cold. I want spring with small wild flowers, crocuses and buds on the trees. And seeing photos from those of my blogger friends that are now posting spring photos, just makes me long for it even more. ;-)

So still plenty of snow outside, but still there are some small signs of spring.

A foggy day at the cemetery – some years ago

I’m afraid there will not be much time for photography this week, so I thought I’d share with you some photos I took some years ago. It was a foggy winter day, and I went to the cemetery to capture the foggy mood. These photos are all from my Flickr photostream (not very active at Flickr these days, WordPress takes up all my time … ;-) ). I am posting them as they looked like when I first posted them to Flickr, I have not re-edited them. Enjoy :)

Stormy weather

Yesterday we had the worst weather. It had been windy for a few days and with temperatures above zero, the snow was melting. For some that would be a good thing, but even though it´s March now, I would like to skiing a bit more before spring. And spring never arrives in March where I live anyways, not properly.

So yesterday we had very strong wind, with the strength of a storm every now and then. It was stormy throughout the day, and with snow and rain. Definitely a day to stay indoors. Actually the police adviced people to secure their belongings outside and otherwise stay at home.

Here are a few shots taken through the windows yesterday.

With all these grey photos, I just wanted to brighten up my day, and this post, with a purple drop… :)

366/366 The end of a year and the end of a project

366 the end of the project

It´s the final day of 2012 and the final day of my 366 days project. I´m so happy I made it and I feel like I have learned a lot, even though motivation was lacking every now and then. I have also learned a lot and have become very inspired by all the fabulous photo blogs out there. I would like to congratulate all my fellow 366 project bloggers. Congratulations to all of you that made it through the year. Well done! I hope to see more photos from all of you in 2013. Personally I will definitely continue blogging, but I will not venture into another project like this. Sometimes I may even post photos that was not taken on that particular day. Happy New Year to all my followers and fellow bloggers. See you in 2013 :)
