Flowers

We bought balcony boxes for the veranda and lots of flowers for both the veranda and for some urns we already had yesterday. We arranged everything in the beautiful weather we had. Here are some shots of what now feels a bit like summer.

White beauty

Finally more flowers are popping up and I have just discovered that there are coming lots of wood anemones close to the house, so prepare for more post of that white spring flower. Here´s the first one solely dedicated to this wildflower that I really love.

Spring has (almost) sprung

More spring photos coming your way. It still feels like early spring here up north, but today I saw a wood anemone for the first time this year. That´s a good sign! :) Hopefully there will be more flowers soon. And now there are small green buds on the trees too. Maybe there will be some small green leaves on the trees in time for the 17th of May (which is our constitution day).

The first photo of this post is remains from last year, but I loved the shape of it. A few buds and then finally the wood anemone. Not a perfect shot, I couldn´t get the focus quite right, but I was out with my sons and didn´t have time to take more than that one shot. I will have to go back soon and shoot lots of lovely spring flowers.

And by the way, I´m considering changing the blog theme – again. I´m happy with how the photos look with the current theme, but there are some things that I miss with it too. Maybe I´ll go back to two columns, or maybe not – we´ll see.

A touch of spring

We´ve had some nice weather lately, and finally things are starting to grow in the woods and in our garden. We live relatively high up from the city so spring comes even later than down by the fjord. Today it´s been snowing again, but luckily it´s supposed to be warmer weather next week.

Some old spring photos

While I wait for spring to arrive with its photo opportunities, I decided to share a few old spring photos with you all. These are shots that I have previously publised on my Flickr account. (I think I mentioned before that I’m not very active on Flickr these days, as blogging is much more fun ;-) )

Happy Easter

I hope you are all having a wonderful Easter. I have had time off from work for the entire week, and have really enjoyed spending time with my family. Here are some Easter photos for you, while I wait for dinner to get ready ;-)

Spring – indoors

Even though I love snow and go skiing when the sun is shining bright in the blue sky, I also look forward to spring and all the spring flowers. So while I wait (and I probably have to wait for some time), I have bought some daffodils and tulips to brighten up inside.

Tulips and orchids

Here are a few flower shots. The first few are taken in the window in the daylight, but the others are taken using flash in the evening.

Today was also my youngest son´s first birthday. Of course we celebrated with cake. His first taste of chocolate cake and he definitely enjoyed it. :)
