31/366 Winter sun

First: sorry for posting another mobile phone shot, but these last few days has been really busy. Why, you may ask. Well, I have wrapped things up at work before going on maternity leave for the next 8 months. Today was my last day at work. But as I went back to the office from a meeting I managed at least to capture the lovely winter sun on the old town bridge. I will return to using my proper camera and this week’s theme tomorrow. :)

Second: I have now completed the first month of my a photo a day for 2012, and I’m so happy for all the followers and visits this blog have got the first month. It’s is truly inspiring that so many people likes and comments on my photos. Thank you all so much! :) The most inspiring however is to follow all the other great photo blogs out there. I’m discovering new ones every single day.

30/366 The tree outside our home

Monday and the start of a new week. This week’s theme is “Trees”. Because today was quite busy, and the afternoons are still quite dark here, I had to do with a mobile phone shot today. I have used the retro camera app from Android.

This is one of my favorite trees actually. It stands right outside our apartment building, and it’s great to follow how it changes from season to season and in different light.

29/366 From last year…

Macro is so much fun. Today was a beautiful and cold day. And for the first time this year I could feel the sun warming slightly. Can’t wait for sunny days in February.. :) I discovered this dead flower hanging in there from last autumn, took a chance and when I got inside I realized that this was my favorite from this week with macro shooting. I hope you all like it as much as I do.

27/366 Petal focus

Today’s macro shot. A difficult flower to capture as the center and stems are so tiny. After several efforts I decided to focus on the petal instead… And I should have dusted off some dirt I see.. Still hope you like it :)

26/366 Popcorn

This was really a last minute thing. I realized this evening that I had not taken today’s shot and what was in front of me was popcorn. So here it is. It’s a bit smaller in size since I had to crop it quite a lot and I have also added a texture (thanks to Picnik) to make it a bit more interesting looking. Tomorrow’s goal is to be a bit more prepared. ;-)

23/366 Frost on window

Week 4 of 2012 already. New week means new theme: Macro.

Took a walk during my lunch break today. It has been a beautiful sunny and cold day, and on my way I passed a empty house with these lovely frost crystals on the windows.  The photo could have been better as I should have took more time to focus properly, but I still like it. Hope all of you like it too.

22/366 Sunlight on the bird feeder

Wonderful winter weather today. I’m so happy to see the sun. Hopefully we will have more of this weather so I can really enjoy it. Feeling so much better today – thanks for all the thoughts. This is one of the bird feeders on our balcony. Sparrows like to sit there for a long time. I believe they are enjoying the view as well as the food. :)
